07/26/2025
Formosa Pharmaceuticals is proud to announce its official sponsorship of the Taipei Bravo PlayOne Women’s Football Team, reinforcing the company’s commitment to ESG principles—particularly in the areas of gender equality, community engagement, and health promotion. As part of this partnership, the team’s official 2025–2026 season jerseys will prominently feature the Formosa Pharmaceuticals logo and name, as they compete in Taiwan’s premier women’s football league, the Mulan Football League.
“Women’s sports are gaining tremendous momentum both globally and in Taiwan,” said said Erick Co, President and CEO of Formosa Pharmaceuticals. “Taipei Bravo is not only a cornerstone of women’s football in the city, but also a key contributor to the national team. Through this sponsorship, we aim to empower more young women to pursue their dreams while actively delivering on our ESG commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community health.”
In addition to competitive matches in the Mulan League, the Taipei Bravo PlayOne team will participate in over 40 community events, including school tours, public sports promotions, and official Taipei City Government activities, further extending Formosa’s brand presence while connecting with local communities in meaningful ways.
This collaboration also aligns with several GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards under ESG, including:
- GRI 405: Diversity and Equal Opportunity – by supporting women in professional sports
- GRI 413: Local Community Engagement – through involvement in youth and public outreach programs
- GRI 203: Indirect Economic Impact – by contributing to the growth of local sports and wellness initiatives
Through this initiative, Formosa Pharmaceuticals takes another important step in integrating sustainability and social value into its business strategy. The company looks forward to working alongside Taipei Bravo to promote equality in sports and inspire healthier, more inclusive communities—living up to its brand spirit: “See the power in the small.”
