ESG in Action:ESG in Action: Formosa Pharmaceuticals Backs the Alliance’s Five Key Actions

10/08/2025

Formosa Pharmaceuticals announced its participation in the inaugural advocacy conference of the “Vision-Friendly Alliance,” initiated by Dialogue in the Dark (DiD) Social Enterprise, held on the eve of World Sight Day (October 8). Joining hands with partners across industry, government, academia, and social welfare, the company aims to advance a more inclusive and accessible visual environment. The official launch of the Alliance brings together 30 companies and organizations in a landmark cross-sector collaboration.

As an innovative ophthalmic drug developer committed to eye-care and social inclusion, Formosa Pharmaceuticals upholds its mission to “safeguard visual health through innovation.” The company supports the Alliance’s five key actions, including: World Sight Day advocacy, mobilizing 30 cross-disciplinary champions, and identifying 30 new job roles suitable for people with visual impairments—seeking to expand social impact through evidence and action, and to set new benchmarks for inclusive workplaces and barrier-free services.

Formosa Pharmaceuticals emphasized that visual health is foundational to quality of life. In addition to advancing R&D and clinical value, the company will promote employee education, optimize service environments, and collaborate with supply-chain partners to implement standards such as accessible information, clear wayfinding, and barrier-free services. The company will also participate in Alliance certifications and advocacy programs to create more employment and learning opportunities for people with visual impairments.

Guided by its ESG framework, Formosa Pharmaceuticals will continue working with Vision-Friendly Alliance partners to build cities where everyone—whether they see or do not see—can live with confidence and peace of mind.
